1941: LBJ returned to Congress, and lent his political skills to supporting FDR in his efforts to convince isolationists of the need for action against Axis aggression.
In August, President Roosevelt met with Winston Churchill and negotiated a joint statement of principles that became known as the Atlantic Charter.
